When one thinks of Morocco, he or she thinks of elegance, warmth and exoticism.  There is such a unique nature when you’re dealing with Moroccan decor, and if you’re considering creating a Moroccan-inspired room, there are some things you should definitely consider.  Moroccan style has certainly been on trend for the past few years, but it’s not easy to pull off.  You will want to create an environment that makes you feel like you’ve been transported to Morocco every time you enter the room.

Paint. The first thing you can do is add Moroccan color to the walls and/or ceiling.  This can be as simple as painting an accent wall in a bold, Moroccan color to help create a more exotic atmosphere.  Remember, you definitely don’t want to overdo it, as the room can become overwhelming, and that’s not an environment you want to create in your own home.

Decor Accents.  You want to definitely consider a strong Moroccan mirror or rug to help transport you to Morocco in your own home.  A large mirror can open up a room, while still bringing that theme to your room.  A Moroccan rug can make your room feel more dimensional.

Layers. Moroccan decor is all about layers – use layers of texture, patterns and colors that are inspired by that Moroccan theme.
