Description
A cream band wraps the cone of this tagine, painted with black and green leaves and little orange circles between dark stripes. The rest of the pot keeps a warm reddish brown glaze.
Like all our glazed cooking tagines, it is made by the same Marrakech potter whose cooking tagine passed the CETEMCO lead and cadmium release test (ISO 8391-2) in Casablanca. The tall lid traps condensation, so stews stay moist, and the glaze is easy to clean. Use it on the stove or in the oven. On gas, set a diffuser or simmer plate under it so the clay does not crack.
Sizes:
- Small: 8 inches in diameter
- Medium: 10 inches in diameter
- Large: 12 inches in diameter
- X Large: 13 inches in diameter
Fired in a traditional kiln, each tagine has a few spots without glaze and small marks, which is normal for clay made the old way.
